Review Release Me by J. Kenner
He was the one man I couldn’t avoid. And the one man I couldn’t resist.
Damien Stark could have his way with any woman. He was sexy, confident, and commanding: Anything he wanted, he got. And what he wanted was me.Our attraction was unmistakable, almost beyond control, but as much as I ached to be his, I feared the pressures of his demands. Submitting to Damien meant I had to bare the darkest truth about my past—and risk breaking us apart.
But Damien was haunted, too. And as our passion came to obsess us both, his secrets threatened to destroy him—and us—forever.
Along with the wave of new erotic romance novels, came this, Release Me by J. Kenner. To say I wasn’t expecting much would be an understatement, but I’ll say that I really wasn’t expecting it to be as mindblowing as this was. Release me was SO MUCH MORE EMOTIONAL and DEEP and complex than I was expecting, I Loved it.
Nikki is a MESS but an interesting, human, complex, damaged one which makes me SO happy to read. There’s nothing worse than a perfect heroine and Nikki is anything but that. Completely insecure self mutilating, a complete mess and a cutter and a girl desperately trying to overcome her own history and figure out where she wants to go and what her life will look like as she starts to try to put it together and Damien is the master of the universe that has Nikki both excited and wonderous while also cautious and completely confused.
Unlike with many romance novels, their chemistry is undeniable. Its amazingly spectacular and their relationship makes complete sense, they belong together even as they are dangerous and edgy and fight and can’t seem to get their relationship right they seem right for each other and they seem to be pulling away from each other. Its amazing. Even as they can’t get it together, they are so perfect for each other its, you can’t help desperately rooting for Nikki first and for their romance second.
Plus all of the craziness that Nikki has going on in her life, it only makes you want her to succeed more. Amazing. Its the one of the only new erotic romance series I will continue to follow regardless because its simply amazing.
