Review Diamond Dreams by Zuri Day

As the only daughter of Southern California’s most famous wine dynasty, Diamond Drake devotes all her waking hours to the family business. Burned by love, she’s not sure she ever wants to fall in love again. But construction millionaire Jackson Wright is sweeping her up in a whirlwind romance. Is he the real thing? From the moment he sees her, Jackson is dazzled by the stunning, sultry Diamond. He knows it’s dangerous to mix business with pleasure. If only Diamond will say yes to a future glittering with their passion and love.…

An interesting novel, one which could have been way better, so much more intriguing if only a few things had been changed. While I enjoyed reading Diamond Dreams, the story as a whole was unfinished, it was incomplete, flat, or just underedevloped. I really felt like the novel as a whole just was flat.

Yes it was the story about a flahsy bachelor going after the heiress he is working with and the heiress not wanting to engage with him, yet still being attracted, interested and wanting to find out what Diamonds history was and what her whole persona was about . Frankly I was bored. I didn’t get why I was supposed to care about Diamond, or about why i was supposed to give a crap about her and Jackson’s relationship. There was so little chemistry so few true sparks, its just felt uninteresting and unimportant, and the romance was simply flat.
